Overview
My undergrad was in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, which is a non-IT field. But during COVID, around my 5th semester, I started diving deeper into Linux and honestly got hooked. The more I explored, the more I realized I was genuinely passionate about IT in general. That's when I decided to switch domains entirely.
After landing my job at Eleics Design, I kept pushing myself to learn more about sysadmin work, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. It became clear that I wanted to go deeper, so I decided to pursue a master's degree. That's how I ended up at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a national security university with a renowned reputation under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Indian Government, and an Institution of National Importance.
During my M.Tech in Cybersecurity, I got to learn way more in-depth about cloud security, network security, and offensive security practices. I worked on three major projects: Atherius-ai, Auditrite, and QuicksilverMQ, which really pushed my technical skills forward.
One of the coolest experiences at RRU was participating in two of India's biggest cybersecurity exercises as a Red Teamer: NCIIPC SECEX 2025 and Bharat NCX 2025. These were intense, real-world scenarios where I got to apply everything I'd been training for. It was an incredible opportunity to test my cybersecurity skills in high-pressure environments and work alongside some of the best in the field.
