Overview

I started at Eleics Design in February 2023 as a Software Engineer. My first project was building OTA (over-the-air) update pages using Sveltekit compiled components, these needed to be super lightweight and fast since they'd run on IoT devices with limited resources thats why we used Sveltekit. I also wrote a Python automation script that gathered device data and handled various tasks automatically, which saved a lot of manual work.

After that, I built a Flutter app called IoTdashboard Apk, a mobile version so people could monitor their devices on the go from Android/iOS. Then I spent a good chunk of time working on the main web dashboard (IoTdashboard.in), which was built with Angular and TypeScript. I added new widgets, created dashboards, and basically kept improving the whole thing based on clients' needs.

After about a year, things evolved and I took on system administration alongside the dev work. Started managing cloud infrastructure on AWS for both production and staging, keeping servers healthy, and helping design new systems. It was a natural fit since I was already working across the stack and knew the infrastructure pretty well.

On the infrastructure side, I took care of Linux servers with security hardening, performance tuning, and automating the boring maintenance stuff that nobody wants to do manually. Set up monitoring, logging, and alerts so we could actually see what was happening with our servers and apps. Handled the day-to-day sysadmin stuff: user management, backups, security patches.

During this time, I led a small dev team, doing code reviews and collaborating on implementations. Got involved in designing architectures for new systems, trying to make things fast, scalable, secure, and not a nightmare to maintain later.
